Power Washing & Painting in Murrells Inlet

Murrells Inlet is one of the harder environments on the Grand Strand for paint and siding. Marsh air hits everything. We know what it takes to do this work right out here.

Living near the marsh is different. The moisture comes from every direction — off the water, up from the ground, out of the trees at night. Mildew grows on siding that doesn’t even face the water. Docks and wood decks rot faster than anywhere else on the Strand. Paint on south-facing walls peels because it’s fighting both the direct sun and the humidity at the same time.

We’ve done a lot of work in Murrells Inlet. Homes near the Marsh Walk, properties back off Hwy 17, fishing cottages on the water. House washing, painting, deck and dock cleaning, driveways. The prep has to be more thorough out here — that’s just the reality of the environment.

If your paint has been failing and you’ve had it redone before with the same result, it’s almost always a prep problem. That’s fixable. Call us and we’ll take a look.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mildew keeps coming back on my siding. Is there anything I can do?

Not really, not permanently. Living near the marsh means washing it once a year, sometimes twice. The goal is to keep it from getting into the paint and doing real damage.

Can you clean and paint my dock?

We do docks and deck surfaces around the inlet. What we use depends on the material. We will look at it when we come out.

My south-facing wall keeps peeling. I have had it painted twice and it does the same thing.

South walls get hit by direct sun all day and absorb marsh moisture at night. If the prep was not thorough u2014 full scrape, prime, caulk u2014 the paint does not stand a chance. That is what we fix first.
