Vinyl siding does not stay white on its own near the coast. Salt air, humidity, and shade add up fast — the north-facing side of most houses around here turns gray or green within a couple of years. That is just the environment. What matters is how you clean it.
We use a soft-wash process for house washing, not a pressure washer turned up to full blast. Soft-wash is low pressure combined with a cleaning solution that actually kills the mildew and algae at the root. High pressure alone just blasts off the surface layer and it grows back in a few months. The soft-wash approach lasts longer and does not risk cracking caulk, forcing water behind trim, or leaving lines on painted wood.
What we clean
- Vinyl, aluminum, and fiber cement siding
- Stucco and painted block
- Wood siding and painted trim boards
- Soffits, fascia, and gutters (exterior face)
- Window frames and screens while we are there
How the job goes
We wet down nearby plants before we start and rinse them after — the cleaning solution is not going to kill your landscaping if we do it right, and we do. The whole job for a typical house takes two to four hours depending on size and how dirty it is. You do not need to be home, but we will let you know when we are done.
We give you a price before we start. If we get on-site and something is more involved than expected — a second story that needs extra time, a badly neglected area — we tell you before we do the extra work, not after.
Common questions
How often should I get the house washed?
Most homes around Myrtle Beach need it once a year, sometimes twice if you have heavy shade on the north side or a lot of trees close to the house. Vacation rentals typically get done more often just because of appearance.
Will it hurt my plants or landscaping?
Not if it is done right. We pre-wet everything before applying solution and rinse thoroughly when we are finished. We have not killed a garden yet.
Do I need to be home?
No. We just need access to an outdoor water spigot. We will send you a message when we arrive and when we are finished.
